React Native Developer

We are seeking a few skilled React Native Developers (mid to senior level) to join our team. As a React Native Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms using the React Native framework. You will be responsible for architecting and building applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop mobile applications using React Native for both Android and iOS platforms
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to ensure the best possible user experience for our applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for the team
• Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement RESTful APIs
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications
• Stay up-to-date with new developments in mobile application development and advise the team on best practices and emerging trends
• Build pixel-perfect, buttery-smooth UIs across both mobile platforms
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes – React Native moves fast and often breaks things
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in mobile application development using React Native
• Experience with expo and launch darkly would a big plus
• Experience building and consuming APIs to interact with other applications using REST or GraphQL
• Experience in designing and building mobile-first UI
• Experience in working in an agile environment to quickly iterate and deliver features to users
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, and IntelliJ
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
